What we do:
“I get by with a little help from my friends”.
That line from the Beatles song is what we do. By sharing our personal wisdom and that from philosophers, writers, and scientists, past and present, we find wiser ways of responding to our life’s issues.
How we do it:
On the second Saturday of the month, we meet to discuss our progress and to socialise (at present, in Rockingham Central Library on Dixon Road, at 10 am, upstairs in the large meeting room).
Between meetings we work upon our chosen issue and, a week before it, send (electronically) a short statement of the issue, or question, along with our preliminary findings, to the other members for comment.
The monthly get togethers allow us to seek clarifications and discuss possible ways to rework our views and the values underpinning them.
All going well, the broader and sharper version of reality that we develop will help us create better responses to our current concerns.
